We're recruiting: Site Manager Wanted
Overview
Due to landing some exciting new projects, we are on the look out for a skilled and professional site manager to join our team to oversee our refrigeration installations.
You will ideally have a background in the refrigeration/mechanical engineering industry with significant experience in project supervision or management.
You will lead a team of skilled and experienced refrigeration engineers and subcontractors onsite, being accountable for ensuring the efficient installation and commissioning of our systems to the highest standards, in line with all relevant health and safety requirements. This role will be home based with extensive travel to our sites across the UK.
We are looking for someone with:
- Strong Site Management experience (preferably within a refrigeration/mechanical engineering company)
- Proven Supervisory skills, and an ability to demonstrate effective leadership
- Excellent time management skills, being able to manage multiple subcontractors and staff onsite
- Excellent communication skills
- Demonstrable experience of delivering successful £250k+ projects
- Good working knowledge of refrigeration/mechanical installations including methods and service procedures (desirable)
Qualifications/skills required:
- SSSTS/SMSTS qualification
- Ability to read and understand P&ID drawings and schematics
- Full clean UK driving licence
- Desirable - Proven experience as a site manager in the refrigeration or mechanical engineering industry, preferably within commercial and industrial projects.
- Desirable - Strong knowledge of cooling systems, HVAC, refrigeration, and associated equipment
For this role you need to:
- Be Health and Safety focused with the ability to promote a safe working environment
- Be able to work with all levels of staff and subcontractors
- Competently deliver projects to completion on time and on budget and to the satisfaction of all parties, expectations to be exceeded wherever possible.
- Be able to identify, reduce and manage risks (technical, statutory, health and safety, commercial or otherwise) associated with each project
- Professionally build strong relationships with sub-contractors, to ensure cost effective solutions which meet our quality and commercial expectations, whilst managing the risks
- Be competent in Project planning, including preparation of contract installation programmes, RAMs and disseminating this information to site teams.
- Carry out project handovers and preparation of handover documentation ensuring they are complete, current, and appropriately communicated to relevant stakeholders
- Be proficient in project management software and tools (desirable)
